Sunset Cruise and Alligator Spotting
Take a relaxing cruise around the island to reach the western, leeward side and witness a spectacular sunset. As darkness approaches, turn on the lights and check the mangroves for alligators. This is a popular fun and adventure tour.
Hol Chan Marine Park and San Pedro, Ambergris Caye
A full day tour takes you to Hol Chan Marine Reserve, a protected marine sanctuary, and Shark Ray Alley, the home of many friendly nurse sharks and stingrays. Then visit San Pedro, have lunch (not included) and leisurely walk around exploring and shopping. On the way back to Caye Caulker, snorkel at the last stop, Coral Gardens.
Altun Ha River Trip
Altun Ha Maya Ruin was a trading center as well as a religious ceremonial center for the Maya. So far, this is the most extensively excavated of all the Maya sites in Belize. Archaeologists have dated construction to about 1,500-2,000 years ago. After a 45 minute speed boat ride to the river’s entrance, you will slowly cruise the windy mangrove-lined river to Bomba (known for its wood carving) and then, continue on to Altun Ha. After experiencing Altun Ha, lunch at Maruba Spa and Resort (lunch not included). Feel free to use the facilities of the resort which includes swimming in the pool or walking around the beautifully kept gardens.
Cave Tubing Underground Adventure
See for yourself Belize’s longest and most spectacular “River of Caves”. Float down seven miles underground and enter the exciting world of rivers disappearing into the underworld. As you float on inner tubes with only a headlamp to light your way through the mist, you swirl around stalagmites jutting from the river and stalactites looming from above. Float past underground waterfalls.
Manatees and Goffs Caye
After a quick 45 minute ride in a speed boat to Swallow Caye, you can watch the manatees and learn about their gentle behavior. Then head for Goffs Caye (about 20 minutes south), where you will enjoy great snorkeling.
Lobster Pull & Snorkel
Available only in season, accompany a real lobster fisherman and help check his traps and shades. Then snorkel the rocks at the back of the island. Later, (for an additional fee), have a lobster cooked up for your dinner.
Local Reef—Caye Caulker
During a three hour morning or afternoon tour with a licensed guide, you will see Caye Caulker’s abundant marine life. Three different snorkeling stops will take you to the reef, to Shark and Stingray Alley, and to the local reef and Coral Gardens.
Golf
Caye Chapel Golf Resort, a privately owned caye, is just five minutes from Caye Caulker. Golf this 18 hole championship course in its beautiful tropical setting.
Diving Belize
The Belize Barrier Reef, the second largest reef in the world, is a marine paradise for divers. You can expect to see an amazing variety of fish, crustaceans, sponges, and coral in exotic displays of shape and form. Get more detailed information about diving trips from our staff in the office.
Snorkeling Belize
“Don’t worry” if you are not a diver or even a snorkeler!! Just one glance through a diving mask will be enough to change your mind. The warm, turquoise blue, crystal clear water of the Caribbean will entice you, promising you treasures to be seen and explored. Relax and float around in a world of fish in vivid rainbow colors of yellow, blue, magenta, and purple. Discover underwater caves, pillars of coral, sponges of so many colors, and shy fish hiding amidst delicate wisps of waving grasses.
